Hi! I'm Scott, a Front-End Development student with a background in IT and a lifelong passion for building.
My journey started in England with Lego and sketchpads, fueled by a drive to create things from scratch. While I spent several years building a career in the corporate IT world, I eventually realized I was missing that original creative spark. In 2024, I decided to turn a redundancy into an opportunity: at 37, I took the leap to study web development and bridge the gap between technical logic and artistic design.
My Philosophy
I believe in building things that are genuinely useful for people. Having grown up in a world both with and without the internet, I'm very conscious of how the ever-evolving digital world shapes our lives, and the effect it will have on future generations. That's why I build responsibly: I want to create things that genuinely improve people's lives and make them more productive, so we can spend more time on the things in life that matter most.
Beyond the Code
When I'm not at my desk, I'm usually training or keeping up with my four children, who are constant reminders that the best ideas come from staying curious.
Problem Solved
I'm the solo developer behind Problem Solved, a one-person app studio building simple, well-crafted apps for everyday hassles. Every app is designed, built and shipped by me.
Freelance Work
I also offer freelance development work. Through my business, gbg-web.com, I provide web design and development, site migrations, and SEO/AEO optimization for clients in Gothenburg and beyond—you can find my services there.
